Paso Robles High School to host ribbon cutting for new agriculture barn

Paso Robles Joint Unified School District will hold a ribbon-cutting for a new Agriculture Barn at Paso Robles High School on April 24 at 3:30 p.m.

The facility provides a fully enclosed, temperature-regulated environment designed to support student learning and animal care.

The barn creates a consistent space for livestock, including animals sensitive to temperature changes, such as hogs. The facility also provides students with space for daily care, project work, and hands-on learning.

“This new barn represents a major step forward for our agriculture program,” said Theresa Clark, Agriculture Department chair at Paso Robles High School. “It allows us to better care for our animals, expand opportunities for students, and create a space that can be used year-round for instruction and community engagement.”

Students will use the barn for show practices and project development. The department also plans to host youth educational clinics in the space to expand outreach and provide opportunities for younger students to engage with agricultural education.

The community is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
