–Melissa Bailey has been selected to oversee after school programming at this satellite facility of our City Library.

Located across the street from Georgia Brown Elementary School and adjacent to the new Uptown Family Park, the Library Study Center is perhaps the best-kept secret in City programs for children. For over 15 years, the Center has provided a wealth of resources, including:

  • Internet access
  • Homework help
  • Reference materials
  • A browsing collection of books and magazines
  • Games and activities for families

Bailey is currently completing her master’s degree in library and information science with an emphasis on library service to youth.

“Adding Melissa to our library team has allowed us to restore full service at the study center,” said Julie Dahlen, director of library and recreation services. “Her keen understanding of the educational needs of area youth as well as her sincere joy in working with children will add immensely to the high quality programming we have long offered youngsters at our Library Study Center.”

The Paso Robles Library Study Center is located at 3600 Oak Street, Suite #101, and is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 2:30–4:30 p.m., and Wednesday: 1:30-3:30 p.m.
