Paso Robles man among two killed in Highway 46 crash

– The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified two drivers killed in a head-on crash on Highway 46 in Kern County early Saturday, according to a report on KGET Bakersfield.

Gael Salto Fernandez, 20, of Wasco, crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle driven by Stanley Carbajal, 36, of Paso Robles, around 2:30 a.m., according to officials. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating whether alcohol or drugs were factors.
