Paso Robles native named ‘Cadet of the Month’

–Cameron Rush of Paso Robles, Calif., was named the Marine Military Academy September Cadet of the Month for Fox Company. The cadet who receives this esteemed award is nominated by his drill instructor for his exemplary attitude, conduct and leadership. In addition to the recognition he received Sept. 25 in front of the Marine Military Academy Corps of Cadets, this young man will be treated to a special dinner hosted by the academy’s superintendent and his wife.

Rush, a first-year cadet, plans to attend the University of Oregon after he graduates. He intends on becoming a historian. Rush is the son of Jennifer Betti of Paso Robles, and Brent Rush of Norman, Okla.

Marine Military Academy is a college-preparatory boarding school for young men in grades 8-12 with an optional post-graduate year. Since 1965, the academy is the only private school in the world based on the traditions and values of the U.S. Marine Corps. Located in Harlingen, Texas, it has been home to thousands from across the world and is quarters to the historic Iwo Jima Monument. To learn more visit MMA-TX.org.
