Paso Robles Police Department supports FFA, 4H with auction add-ons
Contributions are made on top of the winning auction bid to further support the young exhibitors and their projects
– The Paso Robles Police Officer’s Association is once again sponsoring “add-ons” this year and will select a lucky participant’s auction animal to bid on at the Mid-State Fairgrounds. Paso Robles FFA and 4H participants are gearing up to spend two weeks at the fairgrounds with their animal projects.
These contributions are made on top of the winning auction bid to further support the young exhibitors and their projects. The goal is to recognize and reward the hard work and dedication of the participants by providing them with additional financial support.
Last year, the Police Officer’s Association donated $7,500 back to the community, rewarding Paso Robles youth for their hard work. Participants are encouraged to come in for a chance to receive some monetary rewards.
Participants should come to the Paso Robles Police Department, located at 900 Park Street, on July 10 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. or on July 11 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. with an add-on letter, “show whites,” and be ready for an interview by a Paso Robles Police Department officer or dispatcher, according to a Facebook post by the PRPD.
“Show whites” refers to the traditional white clothing worn by participants in livestock shows, particularly those involved in 4-H and FFA programs.
