Paso Robles Police Department swears in officer, appoints deputy chief
– The Paso Robles Police Department has sworn in a new officer and appointed its first deputy chief during the city’s monthly Oaths of Office ceremony.
Officer Kyle Wheeler graduated from the Allan Hancock Police Academy in Lompoc on June 11, 2025. He is currently completing the department’s Field Training Program.
Caleb Davis, who has served as a commander with the department since 2018, was appointed deputy chief. Davis has led nearly every division in the department, most recently overseeing the Administration Bureau and managing special projects. He will serve as second-in-command under Chief Nord.
