Paso Robles releases program for 4th annual SafetyFest
Event includes first responders, safety experts and children’s activities
– The program for the 4th Annual Paso Robles SafetyFest, taking place Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Paso Robles Downtown City Park, has been released. The event, presented by the City of Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services, Paso Robles Community Emergency Response Team and the volunteer community safety initiative PASOSafe, will feature hands-on disaster preparedness activities, safety instruction, demonstrations and exhibits from first responders, emergency services, law enforcement and safety experts.
The event will include opportunities to meet first responders and mascots, including Sparky, Smokey Bear and Captain Cal. Attendees can participate in activities such as a life ring toss, cone toss and a fire simulator truck. Children will be able to climb on the Paso Children’s Museum Vintage Old Mac Fire Engine and explore the museum’s big blue blocks.
The Kids Zone will include sack races, tug of war, corn-hole, hula hoops and other activities. Safety demonstrations and professional exhibits will include a K-9 demonstration, vehicle extraction demonstration, electricity demonstration and more. The Paso Robles Police Department will present K-9 demonstrations, and Mercy Air and CHP H70 will conduct flyovers.
Food trucks will offer pizza, Greek food, shaved ice, snacks and more. Giveaway prizes will be available in the park gazebo. KJUG will broadcast live from the event.
