Paso Robles resident celebrates 100th birthday

—WWII veteran Ed Monteath celebrated his 100th Birthday party last Saturday at the loading chute, attended by 100 friends and family members. Monteath flew the Dauntless dive bomber in the Pacific theatre, and later went on to be executive vice president at Raytheon, making, among other things, the space shuttle booster engines. Monteath still plays golf every week.
