Paso Robles seeks invocators for 2026 council meetings

City council receives update on Highway 46 East overpass project

City asks churches, temples and synagogues to participate

    – The City of Paso Robles is inviting local churches, temples, synagogues, and other faith-based organizations to offer an invocation at the start of City Council meetings in 2026. Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

Leaders may offer any prayer or reflection they choose, allowing a wide range of faith traditions to be represented. A 2014 United States Supreme Court ruling confirmed that sectarian invocations are permissible, and Paso Robles is expanding its long-standing tradition by encouraging more participation from local faith communities.

Those interested in participating in 2026 may contact the City Clerk’s Office at (805) 237-3960 or cityclerk@prcity.com for available dates and details.
