City seeks volunteers for July 4 celebration
– The City of Paso Robles announced plans for a free community Fourth of July celebration at Barney Schwartz Park and is seeking volunteers to help staff the event.
According to a city press release posted May 13, the event will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and will include family-friendly activities beginning at 4 p.m., a Family Fun Zone, food vendors, two live bands, and a fireworks show set to music.
The City of Paso Robles is partnering with Travel Paso for the event.
Approximately 25 volunteers are needed to support city staff during the celebration. Volunteer shifts will last two hours and include positions such as lake monitor, parking attendant, and access control monitor.
Volunteers will receive a commemorative event T-shirt, premium parking for the event, and a meal voucher, according to the release.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the volunteers who help bring this celebration to life each year,” event coordinator Lynda Plescia said in the release. “As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, it’s especially meaningful to see our community come together to create a fun, festive, and memorable experience for families to enjoy together.”
People interested in volunteering are encouraged to submit an online application or email Lovella Walker at lwalker@prcity.com.
