Paso Robles speakeasy named one of world’s best

1122 speakeasy –Eleven Twenty-Two, Paso Robles’ premiere cocktail lounge, was named one of the best speakeasy bars on the planet by Venue Report magazine.

The article, available here, is a roundup of the 46 must-visit speakeasies and hidden bars around the globe, and includes venues in Paris, New York City and Mexico City, among others.

Accompanying a photo of Eleven Twenty-Two’s door on Railroad Street, the writer, Alyssa Brown, notes:

There are 30 seats at this small speakeasy behind Pappy McGregor’s Irish Pub in Paso Robles. To snag one, you’ll have to find your way through the pub, ring a doorbell that’s attached to a lightbulb and wait for a doorman to open the door. Once inside, classic cocktails like mint juleps and French 75s are served alongside the mixologist’s highlights like chai tea infused Armagnac.

“We are so honored to be included in such a prestigious field of cocktail lounges, many of which were our inspiration,” says co-founder, Donovan Schmit, who also co-owns Pappy McGregor’s. “To see our little place in Paso alongside the top bars in Tokyo, Chicago, Sydney and Buenos Aires – and all over – is just amazing to us.”
