Paso Robles student receives Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits scholarship
– Luke Smith of Paso Robles has been named a recipient of the Deutsch Family Scholarship Program, sponsored by Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits, according to Scholarship Managers.
Smith is the child of Valerie Vaughan and is majoring in sociology and criminal justice at Creighton University.
The Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits Scholarship Program was established to recognize the academic excellence of children of the company’s employees. Deutsch is an importer of wines, champagnes and spirits, with 170 total employees.
Recipients of the scholarship are selected by Career Opportunities Through Education, a nonprofit scholarship service organization based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Selection is based on academic performance, school and community involvement, work experience, and a recommendation.
Scholarship Managers, a national organization specializing in scholarship program design and management, independently oversees all phases of the competition.
