Paso Robles student receives Mission Prep’s top honor

Paso Robles senior plans to attend Oklahoma State University

    – Paso Robles resident Addison “Addie” Blake has been named the 2026 recipient of the Marian Award, Mission College Prep‘s highest honor presented annually to an outstanding senior female.

The award was presented during the school’s commencement ceremony and recognizes faith, academic achievement, leadership, and involvement in school and community activities.

School leaders said the award honors a student whose accomplishments extend beyond the classroom and who exemplifies scholarship, service, faith, and character.

Blake graduated with a 4.42 cumulative grade-point average while completing Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment coursework.

During her time at the school, Blake served as president of the Future Farmers of America chapter, co-captain of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, team captain of the indoor volleyball and beach volleyball teams, and a Royal Ambassador. She also earned 12 varsity letters in multiple sports and was named the school’s Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year.

A significant portion of Blake’s high school experience focused on faith and service. She served as rector for the school’s senior Kairos retreat, helping lead and mentor classmates during the four-day program.

School leaders said Blake demonstrated leadership, empathy, encouragement, and a commitment to fostering community among her peers.

In addition to the Marian Award, Blake received the Weyrich Leadership Scholarship from The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County, the San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau Women Scholarship, and recognition as Mission College Prep Female Student of the Year from the San Luis Obispo Elks Lodge. She was also featured in SLO Life Magazine as a Student on the Rise.

During the college admissions process, Blake was accepted to Cornell University, Purdue University, and the University of California, Davis, among other institutions.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities, friendships, and mentors that have shaped my time at Mission Prep,” Blake said. “The support I have received from my family, teachers, coaches, and community has played a huge role in my journey, and I am excited to carry those lessons with me into this next chapter.”

Blake plans to attend Oklahoma State University this fall, where she will study animal science.

Mission College Prep, founded in 1926, is celebrating its centennial year. The Marian Award is presented annually to a senior female who exemplifies the school’s values of scholarship, inspiration, and leadership.
