Paso Robles Sunrise Rotary offers scholarships to local students
Scholarships support students in agriculture, technology, and trade careers
– Paso Robles Sunrise Rotary is offering scholarships to local high school seniors to support their educational goals. The scholarships, funded in collaboration with the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail, are available to students who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to community service.
The scholarship program focuses on fields such as agriculture, viticulture, and STEM disciplines, including careers in health care, computer technology, and biological sciences. Vocational scholarships are also available for students pursuing trades such as welding, electrical work, carpentry, and plumbing.
“We understand the importance of tradesmen in our economy,” Club President Les Simmons said. “Our club wants to help the next generation of electricians, plumbers, and welders to succeed.” Paso Robles Sunrise Rotary is working with Cuesta College and local unions to develop partnerships that support students in these fields.
Students interested in applying for a scholarship can contact their high school counselor or the financial aid office at Cuesta College.
