Paso Robles Bearcats swim against Atascadero High School
–The Paso Robles High School boys and girls swim teams competed against the Greyhounds at Atascadero High School Friday afternoon.
No spectators were allowed to attend the meet, but a camera located at one end of the pool streamed live the performance of the athletes. The swimmers wore face masks between their events, but removed them to compete. Coaches, officials, and limited media kept their face masks in place throughout the event.
Although Paso Robles swimmers dominated the meet, swimmers on both teams enthusiastically embraced the competition after weeks of academic isolation and limited access to the pool for conditioning.
Swimming is among the first sports to return to competition following nearly a year of restrictions during the pandemic.
