Best taxi service in Paso Robles

Paso Robles TaxiPaso Robles has not had a regular yellow cab taxi service for some time. However, out-of-the-area cab companies and non-traditional transportation companies have stepped in to fill the gap. If you are looking for a ride home or to your hotel, here are few options for Paso Robles taxi service.

    Paso Robles taxi services

    Uber – mobile phone app

Uber is one of the most reliable transportation service in Paso Robles, CA. The company develops, markets and operates the Uber mobile app, which allows consumers with smartphones to submit a trip request which is then routed to Uber drivers who use their own cars.

    Dial-A-Ride – (805) 239-8747

Paso Robles Dial-A-Ride operates Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fares are $5 per one way trip. Disabled and seniors are $2.50.

    Fetch! – (805) 419-3382

Fetch is a Paso Robles area transportation service that started as a grocery and dinner delivery service in 2011. From groceries, prescriptions and beverages to local restaurant flavors, auto parts and medical supplies, they deliver it. Their Paso Robles taxi service has mini vans and large tour buses for local transportation. They operate from 10 a.m. to midnight.

    Surf Cab – (805) 748-2202 or (805) 441-9555

Surf Cab is traditional taxi company, but it operates out of San Luis Obispo, which is about 40 minutes south of Paso Robles, so expect a longer wait time. Plan ahead and call them in advance. If you need a safe driver, a short wait is better than the alternative. Here’s a Yelp review: “Timely. Friendly. Efficient. Great cab company. Dan is our favorite. When we do our getaway weekends in SLO, we don’t even bother with the other cab companies.”

    Destination Drivers – (833) 868-7733

Destination Drivers is a professional driver service. With few taxis in Paso Robles, this is a good option. Call ahead and schedule a driver to come and drive your car. The driver can take you to dinner and show out on the town or a private wine tour. They have a safe ride service where a driver can meet you on short notice and drive your car home. In some ways, Destination Drivers is better than a taxi service. They operate from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

But if you hire Destination Drivers beware. What they dont tell you is if they are in an accident with your car (there falt or not) because they are a "for hire service" it voids your insurance!
