Paso Robles winemakers named on Wine Enthusiast Future 40 list
Nancy Ulloa, Neeta Mittal and Kunal Mittal honored
– Nancy Ulloa of Ulloa Cellars and Neeta and Kunal Mittal of LXV Wine have been named to Wine Enthusiast’s Future 40 Tastemakers list.
Ulloa, the sole winemaker at Ulloa Cellars, produces white wines that she describes as “manifested mystical wines.” She calls herself a “wine witch” and says she incorporates crystal healing, Sanskrit mantras, and affirmations into her winemaking process.
Neeta and Kunal Mittal founded LXV Wine after meeting in graduate school. Their winery combines Indian cultural influences with wine tasting. LXV has also partnered with local cancer-support groups to help patients recovering diminished palates with pairings.
In addition to their Paso Robles winery, the Mittals own Maison Mittal, a global grand cru estate located between Paso Robles and Saint-Émilion. Their winemaking combines sustainable farming with traditional methods.
