Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation receives donation from Fender Music

Fender Jeremy

– The Fender Music Foundation recently made a donation of musical instruments and equipment including acoustic and electric guitars, ukuleles, and mandolins as well as amplifiers, cases and instrument supplies to the Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation band students.

“This donation propels our program here at PRYAF to a whole new level. Students now have the opportunity to play professional instruments,” said band and guitar instructor Jeremy Sizemore. “It means everything to us. We can help more students now and it gives us more opportunity for collaboration.”

Fender Music Foundation gives the gift of music to people across the country by providing resources for music education programs. Their grants are awarded to schools, local music programs and national music programs across the United States. To date, the foundation has awarded grants to more than 50 community music programs, seven national music programs, 37 music therapy programs, and 59 school music programs. They have reached state specific programs in 30 states, and have directly given over 200,000 people the opportunity to make music.

“This is the most amazing Summer Christmas ever!” said a student. The donation was the result of the Fender Music Foundation grant written and implemented by Lynne Oliverius, development director for the foundation.

For an opportunity to see the band students showcase their talents – and their new musical instruments and equipment – attend “Dining with the Arts” annual fundraiser dinner and talent showcase event on October 24.
