Paso Robles Youth Baseball Pinto Crimson All Stars headed to regionals 

Coaches: Tim Berlingeri, Joel Frietas, Rafael Garcia, Rene Regalado, Anthony Aguilar. Players: Aidan Twisselman, Blayne Lowry, Gino Berlingeri, Isaac Regalado, Jackson Rede, Marcus Garcia, Matthew Rodgriguez, Payden Collett, Seth Javadi, Talen Frietas, Thomas Glenn and Wyatt Wallingford.

Regionals take place in Toro, Calif., starting June 30

–The Paso Robles Pinto All Stars, boys 7-8 years old have won first place in their last four tournaments. They competed together for the first time at the “All Star Classic,” held June 4-5 in Atascadero Colony Park, where they played teams from Santa Ynez, Five Cities, Templeton, Coalinga. The team came out with a win in the championship game over Templeton Eagles, 13-4.

Their second tournament was “The Summer Classic” held in Santa Ynez, June 11-12 and again came out on top with the win over Santa Ynez in the championship game with a 5-1 victory. Other teams there were Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez.

Their third tournament was the “SLO Beat the Heat” tournament held at Sinshiemer Elementary June 18-19. Paso Robles Pinto Crimson All Stars won all three of their tournament games, then beating Templeton Eagles 3-2 in the Championship game.

They competed this past weekend in Arroyo Grande at the “Surf’s Up” tournament and played against teams from Fresno, Bakersfield, Coalinga, Santa Clarita and Five Cities. They won the first place trophy in the Silver Bracket.

Throughout the All Star season, they have outscored their opponents 148 to 55, and their records stands as 13-3.

Their next tournament will be regionals, held June 30th to July 5th in Toro, Calif., where they will compete with teams from Monterey, Toro, Salinas, Carmel, Seaside. The first game of the tournament will be Thursday at 5 p.m. against Toro, at the Toro Park Elementary School.

If they place first or second in that tournament they will advance to Fairfield, Calif., for the World Series.

Paso Robles Youth Baseball has over 500 players and is a PONY organization that is dedicated to creating a safety first/fundamentally sound and challenging game for children of all ages. PONY is an acronym which stands for Protect Our Nations Youth.
