Paso track athletes going to state championships

–Three Paso Robles Athletes competing this weekend at the State Championship in Clovis. Preliminaries are Friday; finals Saturday.

Distance runners Trad Berti is in the boys 1600. Annie Meeder competes in the girls 3200. The finals for those events will take place tomorrow evening at 9:10 and 9:25, respectively. Codie Wilshusen will compete in the girls pole vault. The pole vault preliminaries begin Friday at 6.
The Paso Robles athletes were challenged because the high school track is unusable. The administration decided to begin replacing the track before the end of track season, so the runners had to train on the roads and at the Atascadero track. Codie trained primarily at Jan Johnson’s Sky Jumpers training facility, also located in Atascadero.
