Driver cooperated with the investigation, alcohol was not a contributing factor, police say
– The Paso Robles Police Department released information on Friday about the single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on Thursday:
On Thursday at approximately 7:11 p.m., Paso Robles Police Department dispatch received a call of a single-vehicle traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a silver Toyota Highlander in the 1800 block of Spring Street.
The vehicle’s driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation and it was determined that alcohol was not a contributing factor. The male pedestrian, a 74-year-old resident of the local area sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Pedestrian hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in Paso Robles
– Emergency crews responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and two pedestrians at the intersection of 18th and Spring streets on the evening of Jan. 2.
According to initial reports, one pedestrian was found not moving but breathing, while the other sustained a laceration to the face. Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services confirmed that one individual was struck by the vehicle involved in the incident.
Emergency personnel transported one person to the hospital for further medical treatment.
Units dispatched to the scene included a medical response team, and additional emergency services.
Further details about the condition of those involved or the cause of the collision were not immediately available.
