Pedestrian injured after being struck by driver in San Luis Obispo 

–On Nov. 9 at approximately 6:58 a.m., the San Luis Obispo Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at Monterey and Johnson. When first responders arrived they found an unconscious and unresponsive 26-year-old female lying near a vehicle in the intersection. First responders immediately began providing medical assistance to the injured female pedestrian and transported her to the hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Boyle, was evaluated for driving under the influence of drugs and or alcohol. The investigation revealed that Boyle was under the influence of drugs while driving a vehicle and being involved in an injury collision. He was also driving a motor vehicle while his license was suspended. Boyle was arrested for felony DUI and driving on a suspended license.
