Pedestrian struck by vehicle while crossing Spring St. 


–On Friday at approximately 1:19 p.m., officers from the Paso Robles Police Department received a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Spring St. and 21st St.

Officers from the Paso Robles Police Department, along with personnel from the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services and San Luis Ambulance responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they located the female victim (48) lying on the roadway. The victim was conscious and speaking with emergency personnel. Eventually, the victim was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital with moderate injuries. The female driver (68) of the vehicle was uninjured and fully cooperated with the investigation.

The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling southbound on Spring St. approaching 21st St. The victim entered the roadway into the crosswalk and was struck by the vehicle as it traveled southbound. Neither alcohol nor speeding appear to be a contributing factor to the cause of this collision.
