Pile burning operations planned in Morro Bay State Park 

–Pile burning operations in Morro Bay State Park Burning will occur as conditions allow between Tuesday Dec. 12 and Friday Dec. 14. They will be burning approximately 25 brush piles. These projects are intended to reduce fuel loads and maintain healthy forests.

Burn operations will be active between approximately 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. Brush piles will be burned at the intersection of Quintana Rd. and La Loma St. Additional piles are located at the Y-intersection of Lower and Upper State Park Roads.

This project is managed by California State Parks, in cooperation with Cal Fire, the Air Pollution Control District, and the Morro Bay Fire Department.
