    Pilot loses arm in accident at Paso Robles Airport

    – An 81-year-old pilot from Watsonville was hospitalized Wednesday after losing his arm in an accident involving a plane propeller, according to multiple reports.

    The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Paso Robles Airport.

    The pilot was reportedly preparing to depart in an Aeronca Chief plane when the accident happened. Reports described the incident as “complicated” but did not provide further details.

    Reports say Lloyd’s Aviation provided first aid and called 911.
