Planning Commission swears in new members
The Paso Robles Planning Commission held its annual reorganization dinner at Panolivo Family Bistro on Feb. 28 and welcomed new commissioners Shannon Agredano and Sheree Davis. Agredano and Davis were chosen by the Paso Robles City Council after an interview process in early February. The planning commission is responsible for reviewing new development applications and environmental documents and can also make recommendations to the city council on legislative matters.
Agredano has been a Paso Robles resident for ten years, is a retired police officer, and former owner of an electrical contracting business. She previously served on the City of Hollister Planning Commission.
Commissioner Davis is a fifth generation native to the Paso Robles area and has planning and government experience from her previous roles as President and CEO of the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce and Director of Government Affairs for the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.
The new commissioners fills seats vacated by Chairman Vince Vanderlip and Commissioner Darrell Cooper. Vanderlip has served on the Planning Commission for over 6 years. He has held the position of chairman two times during his time on the commission and was recognized at the dinner for his years of service and dedication. Cooper leaves the commission after two years of service.
At the dinner, Commissioner Bob Rollins was elected as the 2016 chairman and commissioner John Donaldson was elected for the position of vice chair.
