Police department promotes longtime officer to commander role 

New commander joined the Paso Robles Police Department in 2015

– The Paso Robles Police Department recently announced the promotion of Steve Boyett to the position of commander.

Boyett was officially promoted on Aug. 31 during the city’s Oaths of Office Ceremony.

He began his law enforcement career in the Los Angeles area in 2007 and served with two other agencies before joining the Paso Robles Police Department in 2015. Boyett was promoted to sergeant in 2019 and has now advanced to commander.

The department stated that Boyett’s experience and leadership will continue to benefit the department and the community.
