Police to receive salary increase
–At the most recent Paso Robles City Council Meeting, the council approved a memorandum of understanding with the City’s Police Officer Association. This two-year city/labor agreement runs from Jan. 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018.
Among other provisions, the represented personnel will receive a 4.5-percent increase in salary each year of the agreement, in exchange for the personnel paying 3-percent of salary to CalPERS, which would otherwise be paid by the city.
Effective July 1, 2018, sworn personnel will also receive a 2-percent salary adjustment, given that the latest compensation survey shows that Paso Robles Police Officers are paid 17-percent below the market average in this area, according to the city.
