The Atascadero Police Department has announced that the third annual Police Vs. “Hotshots” basketball game will return on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 3-5 p.m. at the Colony Park Community Center Gymnasium in Atascadero.

The Hotshots are a Special Olympics basketball team which travels throughout the state representing the local area in competition. All of the proceeds from the event will go to support the Special Olympics programs. Admission to the event is free, but donations will be accepted at the door. The Hotshots have a 2-0 record coming into the game.

This year the Special Olympics will also be hosting a barbecue fundraiser immediately following the event. There will be barbecue of tri-tip or chicken dinners available from 5-6 p.m. for $12 each or $10 for four or more. Dinner tickets can be purchased from the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce.
