Police to conduct rapid response active shooter trainings
–The Paso Robles Police Department and Paso Robles Fire Department will be conducting a rapid response and active shooter training exercise at the Paso Robles City Hall on Nov. 22, 2019.
Active shooter and rapid response incidents are increasing across the United States. To stay prepared for this type of event, the Police Department and Fire Department will be conducting a series of rapid response trainings in the upcoming months.
In order to conduct this training, the Paso Robles Library, City Hall and the accompanying parking lot, will be closing for business at 2:30 p.m. In addition, Park St. between 9th and 11th St., as well as 10th St. between Spring St. and Pine St., will be closed at noon. The buildings will reopen for business at their regular hours on Nov. 23, 2019. The parking lot, as well as street closures, will reopen at the conclusion of the training, by or before 8 p.m.
Residents and businesses in the area of Paso Robles City Hall, 1000 Spring St, should not be alarmed with the increased presence of law enforcement and fire personnel in the area.
