Tickets for ‘Skate Mission Plaza’ available now

– Downtown SLO, in partnership with the City of San Luis Obispo, has announced that tickets for Skate Mission Plaza are now available. They can be purchased at DowntownSLO.com/Skate.

This new pop-up installation will be installed in Mission Plaza for three weeks only, beginning Friday, May 6,  and running through Sunday, May 22. Skaters can enjoy music, a disco ball, and flower-power-inspired decorations, all in downtown San Luis Obispo.

Adult skate tickets will be available for $20 per person per session. Each session lasts one hour. Tickets for children under 12 are available for $10 per person per session. Skate rentals are included in the ticket price, but attendees are welcome to bring their own skates.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance; skaters will only be admitted with valid proof of ticket purchase. Cash or credit payment will not be accepted onsite. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets well in advance, as limited space is available for each session. Tickets may be purchased up until the start of the session, depending on availability. Waivers will be required for entry. All skaters are required to wear socks; extra pairs will be available for purchase for $2. Attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before their session begins to allow enough time for check-in and skate selection.

The fun begins Friday, May 6. The rink will operate seven days a week, with multiple one-hour skate sessions per day. See the complete list of dates and times on the online ticketing page. Special events and theme days will also take place throughout the activation. See the special events calendar at DowntownSLO.com/Skate for more information.

Downtown SLO is also donating dozens of free skate passes to various nonprofit organizations throughout the county to provide access to underserved communities.
