Popular ‘Mother Goose on the Loose’ story time program returns to the library

-The Paso Robles City Library is pleased to announce that Mother Goose on the Loose is returning to the Library the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, at 10:30 a.m. in the Story Hour Room, beginning September 14.

Geared to infants 0-18 months, Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy program that focuses on the whole child, incorporating researched-based theories of learning, music, puppets, picture books, nursery rhymes, art, play, and language to create positive connections between children and their caregivers.

According to Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey, the program “engages our youngest patrons with songs, rhymes, and music to develop social, emotional, and language skills. Children also work on fine and gross motor skills through finger plays, dances, and physical exercise. It is a fun and educational class for children and their caregivers to experience together.” For more information about Mother Goose on the Loose, contact Bailey at (805) 237-3870 or at mbailey@prcity.com.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on library programs and events, please call (805) 237-3870 or visit the library website.
