–The historic Pozo Saloon will be re-opening Saturday, May 5, according to a story by the New Times.
Built in 1858, the building is turning 160 this year, but for the past three years or so, its hours have been inconsistent. Two new owners, Dean Marchant of Morro Bay and Alex Kagan of San Diego, recently bought the saloon and plan to reopen it on Saturday, May 5, Cinco de Mayo, a holiday that celebrates Mexico’s victory over the French in the 1862 Battle of Puebla.
