Pre-Pioneer Day party happening this Saturday at Paso Robles Event Center
–On Saturday Sept. 23, the Paso Robles Pioneer Day Committee will be holding their annual Pre-Pioneer Day party at the Paso Robles Event Center at Frontier Town at 4 p.m. The time-honored tradition lives on with the Pre-Pioneer Day Shindig. This honorary celebration of Paso Robles Pioneer Day Royalty takes place as locals and friends gather to celebrate “the spirit of the harvest” just as they have done since 1931. Guests will enjoy cocktail hour, various samplings of food such as tri-tip sliders, baby back ribs, sausage, chicken wings, street tacos, and much more. There will also be chuck-wagon dessert cook-off between 3 notorious chuck wagon cooks, to taste and vote for your favorite one!
There will be both a silent and live auction items such as a winemaker’s dinner at McPhees, zip lining adventure at Margarita Adventures and wine tasting for a group of 8, a pig hunt, trip to Mexico, tickets to the infamous Firestone Beer Festival, tickets to the Best of the West Tractor Show, a 20 gauge shot gun, as well as a gun raffle. After the auction, the casino will start with games such as black jack, Texas hold-em, and Roulette tables; a two-day trip to Las Vegas will be the Casino prize. The Pioneer Day committee invites you to attend and partake in this Pioneer Day tradition. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at the door, please enter through the Administration gate between the office and Home Ec building. The Event Center will be charging $5 for parking.
The proceeds from the event go to help pay for Pioneer Day and all of the Pioneer Day events, and to maintain and restore the fine tractors, wagons and other equipment that belong to our Community.
