School district increases daily pay rate for substitute teachers
–At the Feb. 23 Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Board meeting, the PRJUSD Board of Trustees approved a motion to increase the daily rate for certificated substitutes from $121 to $161 for in-person learning, and $176 per day for long-term placement substitutes.
Substitute teachers are an integral part of the instructional staff at all school sites and are essential in a students’ journey back to in-person learning, the district said in a news release. Substitutes who prefer distance learning will be compensated at a daily rate of $121 and $136 for long-term assignments.
