– The Paso Robles Police Department will host it’s second annual “National Night Out” this August. This event will be held in front of the Police Department on August 4 from 6-8 p.m. National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored by the Paso Robles Police Department, will involve over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world.

National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen communities by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement partners.

This event will be held on Tuesday, August 4 from 6-8 p.m. in front of the Public Safety Center at 900 Park Street. The event will include police vehicle displays, police K9 demonstrations, and opportunities for community members to meet the staff of the Paso Robles Police Department. Refreshments will be provided.

According to event organizers, the event is designed to:

•Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
•Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs
•Strengthen police-community partnerships
•Send a message to criminals letting them know that our community is organized and fighting back
•It’s also the perfect opportunity to get to know neighbors and police officers even better
