PTA leader announces run for Paso Robles school board seat

– Tracy Dauterman has announced her candidacy for the Paso Robles Joint Unified School Board in Trustee Area 7, which covers northeastern Paso Robles and San Miguel. Dauterman has lived in Paso Robles for 17 years and has a background in management consulting, marketing, sales, and hospitality. She recently earned her MBA from Santa Clara University in June and holds a BA in psychology from UC Santa Barbara.
Dauterman is the parent of two children who attend Winifred Pifer Elementary School and is an active volunteer in the district. She currently serves as the PTA President at Winifred Pifer, where the PTA earned national recognition as a School of Excellence for increasing parent engagement under her leadership. She is also a member of the Pifer School Site Council, where she helps review academic data and oversees school safety.
“Helping families improve their relationship with the school district is a passion of mine. I find it very fulfilling to advocate for changes that ultimately result in a better experience for students in our district,” Dauterman said.
Dauterman is running for the school board to further contribute to the community by making decisions that impact students and families. She emphasizes a collaborative, hands-on approach to problem-solving and focuses on local issues. Dauterman’s key priorities include improving communication, academics, finances, parent engagement, learning environments, and transportation.
