Public comment period open for Highway 101 Wellsona Safety Improvement Project

–Caltrans District 5 will accept public comments on the US Highway 101 Wellsona Safety Improvement Project in San Luis Obispo County beginning Friday, Sept. 20 until Sunday, Oct. 20.

The public may also review the Caltrans Initial Study with a Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration at the following locations:

• Paso Robles Public Library at 1000 Spring Street.
• San Miguel Public Library at 254 13th Street in San Miguel.
• San Luis Obispo County Planning and Building Department at 976 Osos Street, Room 200 in San Luis Obispo.

Caltrans is proposing to build an undercrossing south of the existing intersection of US 101 at Wellsona Road.

Public comments or a request for a public hearing can be emailed to Caltrans Senior Environmental Planner Matt Fowler at matt.fowler@dot.ca.gov or sent by US Mail to Matt Fowler, Caltrans District 5, 50 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA. 93401 by Nov. 19.
