Racers’ Reunion event held at local cycle shop
–On, Oct. 15, Joey Brown of Brown’s Cycles hosted a Racers’ Reunion held at Brown’s Cycles 5175 Stockdale Rd, Paso Robles. This event was put on by Joey Brown, the Brown family, Brett Butterfield, Dennis Camp, and many other friends. Brown hosted the event to gather past motorcycle racers who raced or worked under the Brown’s Cycles name.
This tradition has continued for many years. There was well over 300 people in attendance, many motorcycles, memorabilia, videos, pictures, old racing wear, stories, memories and commadre. Dennis Camp put it well “I wish it could’ve been a 2 day event!” said attendee Johnny Murphree.
“You are a hero, on and off the track”. Per Cy Quinn “My family and I are honored to have known you. Last Saturday was so special, to enjoy your day surrounded with history of racing and the love from people near and far as they shared stories.”
Brown’s Cycles is a national treasure in the motorcycle world, people come from all around the world to see the old gas station/motorcycle shop that has been in business for 75 plus years. Founded by Joe C. Brown in 1940 and passed down to generation to generation. Currently Brown’s Cycles is owned and operated by David Brown.
