Recent graduate announces candidacy for Paso Robles school board

Hunter Breese.
– Hunter Breese, a recent graduate of Paso Robles High School, has announced his candidacy for the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Board, Area 3.
Breese, who became a notable voice in the community during high school, is focused on academic improvement, fiscal responsibility, and student discipline. His public advocacy began in February 2022 when he organized a student protest against the district’s mask mandate. The protest resulted in the school board lifting the mandate at its next meeting. Since then, Breese has continued to be involved in district affairs, attending school board meetings and serving on the District Advisory Council and Transportation Committees.
Breese, a local contractor working in his family’s business, believes his experience in the community and familiarity with district operations make him a qualified candidate. His platform includes a focus on improving test scores, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and enhancing student discipline, along with advocating for the support and well-being of staff.
“Paso Robles has given me so much, and now it’s my turn to give back,” Breese said. “I believe we can create a better future for our students by making sure parents are heard, staff are supported, and students are prepared for success.”
Breese’s campaign highlights transparency and accountability in school district decision-making, with a focus on policies that improve discipline, empower parents, and provide students with quality educational opportunities.
