Recreation services offering free holiday events, activities
–Holiday cheer abounds at Centennial Park this season as Paso Robles Recreation Services will offer free events and activities for the community throughout the month of December.
Mail Your Letters to Santa
This year, Santa’s elves have delivered a special mailbox to the Centennial Park lobby directly from the North Pole! Children are invited to mail their letters to Santa beginning Monday, Dec. 3 through Friday, Dec. 21 from noon to 5 p.m. Each child will receive a complimentary holiday goodie bag when they deliver their letter (while supplies last). Please be sure that the child’s name is written clearly on the outside of the envelope.
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Join Recreation Services and the Paso Robles Police Department as they welcome Santa and his sleigh to Centennial Park on Thursday, December 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Santa’s elves along with the Paso Robles Fire Fighters will be celebrating with Santa during this free event that includes holiday give-aways, treats and of course a photo-op with the big man himself. Santa and his sleigh will also visit the Oak Park area on Monday, Dec. 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 30th Street and the railroad tracks.
Holiday Hospitality Days
Baby, it’s cold outside…but the Centennial Park lobby is nice and warm! Take a break during a visit to the park and join Recreation Services for Holiday Hospitality Days in December. On these special days, Recreation Services will provide coffee, cocoa, cookies and other treats in the main lobby from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Dates include: Monday, Dec. 3, Wednesday, Dec. 12, Thursday, Dec. 20 and Friday, Dec. 21. Take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle to visit with the Recreation staff, learn about winter class offerings or purchase a recreation gift certificate for that special someone on your list.
