Owner & aesthetician Stacy Hooper tailors treatments to clients’ personal needs
When it comes to keeping her clients’ skin healthy and attractive, Stacy Hooper is a woman with a passion. Owner of Renu-U Specialized Skin Care, Stacy has been sharing her skills as an aesthetician in San Luis Obispo County since 1993. First spending time in Cambria at Pacific Hair, she co-owned The Elegant Silhouette in Paso Robles and later services at her former Railroad St. location before relocating to 1341 Park St. in March of 2012.

Genuinely interested in helping people, Stacy’s motto is “Your Skin is My Concern.” As a young girl, Stacy was raised surrounded by the beauty industry – her mother, Lynne, started her career in this very industry over 47 years ago and was her partner at The Elegant Silhouette. Noting that time spent witnessing her mom working with clients greatly influenced her future goals, Stacy says her own personal interest, however, was not in styling hair.
“My own battle with skin issues was a motivating factor to learn more about skin – the largest and one of the most important organs of the body,” Stacy says, further explaining that she attended school in San Diego to obtain her education and license as an aesthetician. “That was just the first step; upon graduating many more classes were needed to expand my knowledge of this field.”
Knowledge, experience, and specialized treatments
Even today, Stacy continues to build on her knowledge and learn more about what she calls “this truly amazing organ – skin.” More than just feeling pampered, clients also appreciate seeing the results that come about from their Renu-U treatments.
“My own experiences with skin issues have helped me to understand what others may be going through,” Stacy says. “As a professional aesthetician, it is rewarding to know that the improvement my clients see in their skin has been brought about by my skills and knowledge.”
Stacy specializes in creating customized skin treatments for each individual’s needs. Although she says her most frequent customers range in age from 25 to 85, she has a growing number of teens seeking her services as well.
“It is important to have a variety of treatment options because we all have different skin care needs,” she says. “As a teenager, it is so difficult to go through battles with acne. As adults, many of us suffer fromacne as well; this often results from stress and internal factors. It is wonderful to help someone improve their self esteem by helping them improve their skin.”

When she’s not treating her clients to specialized skin care, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family and friends including husband, Matt, and their 2-year-old daughter, Iliana. Favorite gathering spots include the Paso Robles Children’s Museum, Downtown City Park, Barney Schwartz Park and the Paso Robles Library.
