Republicans gather at headquarters to watch Super Bowl, alternative halftime show 

– About 50 football fans gathered at the Republican Party of San Luis Obispo County headquarters in Atascadero Sunday to watch Super Bowl LX, choosing to view an alternative halftime show rather than NBC’s broadcast.

Instead of the network’s halftime show starring Puerto Rican entertainer Bad Bunny, the group watched the Turning Point All American Show featuring Kid Rock and country music performers in a celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

Bad Bunny, whose stage name comes from a childhood photo of him in a bunny costume, is also a professional wrestler who competes in WWE-sanctioned events.

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13.

The watch party drew student representatives from Turning Point and the Cal Poly Republican Club.
