Update: Firefighters extinguish house fire on Pacific Ave. in Paso Robles
Fire quickly contained, all occupants able to evacuate safely
–At approximately 1:50 p.m. Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to 242 Pacific Ave. in Paso Robles for a reported residential structure fire. Firefighters arrived at the scene to discover a fire inside the residence of a single-story residential home with fire extending into the attic.
The fire was quickly contained, and all occupants were able to evacuate safely, firefighters report.
Two fire engines, one paramedic squad, and two battalion chiefs from Paso Robles responded to the incident. Two engines and one battalion chief from Cal Fire San Luis Obispo County and one engine from the Atascadero Fire Department immediately responded to assist. In total, 19 firefighters worked to contain the fire. Additional assistance was provided by Paso Robles Police Department, PG&E, and San Luis Ambulance Service.
Further investigation determined the cause of the fire was faulty electrical. Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services would like to remind everyone of the importance of having working smoke detectors in each bedroom.

Residential fire reported on Pacific Avenue in Paso Robles
–At 1:50 p.m. Friday afternoon Paso Robles firefighters were responding to a residential fire at 242 Pacific Ave. in Paso Robles. The fire was reportedly an electrical fire in the home’s attic. One minor injury was reported, not requiring ambulance transport.
