Rhone Rangers to host International Grenache Day celebration in Paso Robles
Event will align with the global recognition of Grenache
– The Rhone Rangers will host an International Grenache Day Celebration on Friday, Sept. 20, in Paso Robles. The event will align with the global recognition of Grenache, a widely planted grape variety.
The celebration will feature a walk-around tasting of various Grenache wines, including Sparkling, Grenache Blanc, Rosé, Grenache Noir, and Grenache-based red blends. Attendees can sample wines from 24 Rhone Ranger member wineries from Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County. The event will take place on the back lawn of Peachy Canyon Winery Tasting Room, located at 1480 N. Bethel Road, Templeton. Cheese and charcuterie pairings from Alba Provisions and live music by CHAOS will be part of the evening.
Kim Murphy-Rodrigues, Executive Director of the Rhone Rangers, said, “We are excited for this opportunity for our Rhone Rangers to gather in one location and showcase the versatility of Grenache, as well as the diversity of the microclimates and terroir of the wines from throughout the Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County AVAs.”
Tickets are $45 per person plus sales tax and fees if purchased online or $55 per person plus sales tax and fees at the door. For more information, including the list of participating wineries and ticket reservations, visit the Rhone Rangers website at www.rhonerangers.org.
