Team Il Cortile, with 13 riders, raised an impressive $20,000 as the top team.

“Each year this event grows and continues to bloom beyond our expectations,” said CSCCCC Executive Director Christie Kelly. “This year we watched as nine teams, made up of 136 riders, hit the road to raise funds for the Cancer Support Community families.”

As a result of their fundraising efforts, Team Il Cortile, with 13 riders, raised an impressive $20,000 as the top team and put the brakes on the Rainbow Flyer’s fundraising winning streak.

Other teams participating in the Founder’s Team Challenge included Castoro Cellars, Niner Wine Estates, Peachy Canyon, Best Bike Zone, K-Man, Central Coast Home Health, Dr. Bolivar’s Team and the Slabtown Rollers.

“The teams really get into the ride,” said Kelly, “and they have a lot of fun. All of the teams raised funds, raised awareness and, thanks to their efforts, will help us continue to provide support for patients, caregivers and their loved ones.”

Tour of Paso, Niner Wine Estates

Riders had their choice of three routes through the Paso Robles wine country region, all starting and ending at Niner Wine Estates.

All skill levels of riders, from beginners to advanced, had their choice of three routes – 50, 26 and 4-miles – through the Paso Robles wine country region, all starting and ending at Niner Wine Estates. Riders were eligible for prizes donated by local businesses and, at the finish line party, an awards ceremony and barbeque lunch was held for all participants; several community members joined in the celebration as well.

“We would like to extend a special thank you to the Niner Wine Estates family and staff for continuing to welcome us and for providing such a uniquely beautiful venue,” said Kelly.
