Road work on Highway 46 East resumes Sunday night 

–A project to apply a preventative surface treatment along Hwy. 46 East from Airport Road to Geneseo Road east of Paso Robles will resume on Sunday night, July 29.

Motorists will encounter lane closures in each direction of Hwy. 46 on Sunday nights from 11:45 p.m. until noon on Monday. Construction will also take place Monday through Thursday nights, from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following day. No overnight closures will occur Friday or Saturday nights. Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 15 minutes.

This project will include an application of a Bonded Wearing Course on the highway ensuring a smooth ride and increased traction.

The contractor for this $4 million project is the Griffith Company of Bakersfield. This project is expected to be completed next month.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
