Roy Elden Guy dies at at 88

Roy was a life-long Atascadero resident except for serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for H.D. Peterson for 28 years as a mechanic and operating heavy equipment. He owned his own welding shop, was a founding member of the Atascadero Speedway and a pilot.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Joyce (Joy) Marie Guy; his parents, Hazel and Lester Guy, Sr-; his brother, Lester Guy, Jr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and Jodie Coley; his son Roy Guy, Jr. and his daughter Cathy Jensen, all of Atascadero; and his sister, Laurel Schubert of Great Falls, MT.
Roy is survived by his daughter Rhonda (Richard) Crutchfield of Paso Robles; his son Robert E. (Dianne) Guy of Atascadero; his step-daughter, Lynn Allmandinger of Palmdale, CA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
