Local artist displays printmaking art

–The public is invited to enjoy the artistic expression of Ruth Fleming during the month of December at the Paso Robles City Library. Fleming describes her art as “from whimsical to floral to still life.” Fleming has been a resident of Cambria for over 20 years.

Fleming holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a minor in Art from California State San Diego. Singing and teaching have been Fleming’s primary profession throughout the years, with excursions into art after retiring from professional singing. She returned to school in later years to attend Valley College in Los Angeles where she studied printmaking, design, painting and drawing. Fleming is a member of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society and has displayed prints at the U.K.-L.A. Show in Long Beach and more recently for Allied Arts in Cambria of which she is a member.
