San Antonio Valley Historical Association hosting dinner, lecture on native prehistory 

The San Antonio Valley Historical Association (SAVHA) Annual Fall Dinner and Lecture will be Nov. 11, at the San Antonio Valley Community Center, located in Lockwood.

The lecture will be Rock Art of the Salinan and Esselen People, presented by Gary Breschini,PhD, and Trudy Haversat, Monterey County archeologists. They are the preeminent authority on Salinan and Esselen prehistory and rock art in Monterey County, as well as how settlement in North America was influenced by geography, climate change and fire. Gary and Trudy will discuss their research at La Cueva Pintada.
